Folklogue Studios
Born out of a fond moment spent at her mother's feet listening to traditional folktales, Vandana Pant started FolkLog in 2015. Project FolkLog aims to document folktales from all over India and creative a reliable online repository of these wonderful verbal artforms.
In 2019, FolkLog recieved a grant from the British Council that enabled us to take propel the project full steam ahead.
I have been closely associated with the project in creating the website, maintaining the social presence and handling all the copy needs.

I worked closely with the designers to create a logo that embodied the soul of FolkLog. Here we have used Gond art in a form that can easily be printed. The colours used are earthy and the depiction of the mother feeding her children is reminiscent of the tradition of generational oral storytelling.
Below you can find the animated version of the logo that we created.
Here is the promo we crafted for FolkLog. It showcases clips from our travels, the storytelling and artforms we have experienced, and the heart of the FolkLog project. To connect people with their roots.
Because stories are what makes us human. Stories are who we are.
Here are some screen-grabs of our website. The text has been entirely written by me and I have supervised the design and layout of the website. It has been crafted with a lot of handmade illustrations made in the Gond art style and carries forward the legacy of the folk art forms.
We were invited to Kolkata to showcase some of the intriguing art forms that we had documented. For that purpose, we made a set of pamphlets and bookmarks shown here.
I have written the copy for hte pamphlets and guided the design of both items.
